About

Primitive Man, like modern man, had no time for set meals. He was always on the run; looking for food, shelter and protection. Surviving on nature’s gifts and relying on them for their nutrition.

Berries, nuts, seeds, grains and honey were the powerhouses of nutrition before man started engineering food. According to Ayurveda & Yoga, foods that are strong in the Sattva element, lead to clarity and equanimity of mind while also being beneficial to the body.

This is the basic principle behind Sattvic Foods, to provide you a convenient way to consume foods that have a net positive impact on your health and pranic energy.

We challenge ourselves everyday to source the best health products and ingredients from all over the country. We believe in sharing the rich agricultural resource of India with our fellow citizens and the world.

We have a stringent selection process and consult several experts on quality, authenticity and flavour before bringing a product to market. We also lab test our products for shelf life, nutritional information and gluten content.

Our team combines its global expertise in Health, Nutrition, Fitness, Yoga and Ayurveda bringing you innovative foods to meet the demands of your busy lifestyle. Our specialities include but are not limited to Gluten-free, Paleo, Vegan & Raw Foods.

Sattvic Foods was born in June 2014, when our founder Jeetu Melwani returned to Goa after his travels round the world. Upon moving back to India he struggled to find the quality ingredients and foods that he had grown accustomed to while living in USA, Europe, South America, Asia. To fulfil his own need he started procuring these ingredients and then attempted to fill the gap in the market. Supported by his mother Reshma and sister Lavina, Sattvic foods soon became a household name in the gluten-free community.

We are a primarily women run enterprise, with over 80% of our work force being underprivileged village women, while also working with the farmer community we strongly support the upliftment of the marginalised communities in India.
